Flavia Regaldo (Belo Horizonte, Brazil – 1984) is a visual artist who lives and works in Lisbon, Portugal. She holds a Master’s degree in Multimedia Art from the University of Lisbon and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media from Goldsmiths College, University of London.

Her artistic practice seeks to give form to the invisible forces and tensions inherent in matter, exploring rhythm and chaos through a perspective that spans the micro and the macro and rethinks the dichotomies between the natural and the social.

Her career in the arts began in 2009 and her work has always spanned various media, including photography, video, painting, sculpture and installation, featuring overarching narratives that link the works together. Since 2020, he has been focusing on printmaking, with an emphasis on metal engraving and screen printing. Printmaking serves as the central axis in an installation-based practice that draws on other visual and audio media.

The artist has taken part in various solo and group exhibitions and artist residencies in both Europe and Brazil. Among her distinctions are: a residency project at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, funded by the Culture Moves Europe – Creative Europe grant; a grant from the Pilar and Joan Miró Foundation for training in Joan Miró’s printmaking studios at the Miró Foundation in Mallorca; selection for the publication PEA_Portuguese Emerging Artists; inclusion of work in the Norlinda and José Lima collection in Portugal an in Palacio das Artes In Brazil. In Brazil, notable awards and grants include those from Funarte, the National Arts Foundation.
